The Foundation is continuing its temporary suspension of online grant applications. In order to provide support where it is most needed during this crisis, we are currently conducting grantmaking by invitation only. We thank you for your understanding. Please check back periodically for updates as this is a rapidly changing set of circumstances.
Our grants and programs are created to have a greater impact on various opportunities for underserved girls.
Through grantmaking, GEFF is committed to supporting a wide array of efforts across the globe to promote a safe, fair, and quality education for marginalized girls in developing and war-torn countries. We magnify the impact of these commitments by setting up firm priorities and teaming up with local and national charity organizations worldwide.
As a result, we only accept, or review solicited proposals for grants that focus specifically on the causes we are tackling. The foundation does this out of respect for your time as much as ours since we are unable to give appropriate consideration to unsolicited proposals.
Please keep in mind that although your project may appear to fall under the guidelines of being likely fundable, it does not necessarily guarantee a grant from the foundation.
Examples of areas the foundation does not fund:
- Projects addressing global development, health, and policy & advocacy in developed countries
- Political campaigns and legislative lobbying efforts
- Building of capital campaigns
- Projects that exclusively serve religious purposes
